Step back into history with us to 1880 and meet Harriet Beecher Stowe, author an abolitionist, portrayed by Nan Colton, local playwright, director, storyteller, actress and arts educator. Nan has performed and lectured professionally on stages throughout South Africa, Great Britain and the United States. She brings to life passionate, live portraits of remarkable women, and unforgettable tales of fact and fiction.
Arriving in full costume, Nan will provide PHNC members a look into the life of Harriet Beecher Stowe (1811-1896) who is the author of 25 books including the best-selling anti-slavery novel Uncle Tom’s Cabin. Join us on June 20 as this will surely be an outstanding and moving performance.
