The Mahjong Roundtable consists of 16 members who share hosting responsibilities and meet monthly to play Mahjong on the third Monday in either homes, restaurants or other locations. Every participant is responsible for one month and selects the venue, tracks attendees, and contacts substitute players when necessary to fill out tables.
While the group of 16 permanent members is complete, other PHNC members may sign up to be substitutes to fill in when participants are unable to attend. Substitutes will be called for availability from the official list when the host determines there are seats available that month. Those interested in becoming substitutes only need apply once to be placed on that substitute list.
